<p>yup, my stanford app is in, although i dont have much hope since its not a need-blind policy for international students.</p>
<p>stanford is actually quite generous to internationals despite their non need blind policy... i saw somewhere like 250 internationals get aid or something, and it was similar to the need blind schools like yale and harvard</p>
<p>that wasn't the point. i meant that stanford maintains that if you are an international student who needs significant financial aid, this will be a major factor in the admissions. it is not need-blind for int'ls at all. only after you are accepted do they provide a suitable financial aid package... but its circular since the amount of aid you need is a major factor in your application, unlike at harvard or yale where it is need-blind for all.</p>
<p>at any rate, if stanford does accept me, i'll be very grateful for their trust in my abilities to contribute to the campus there.</p>
