Do you feel ready for it as well? I've been studying like every other week so I'm not sure if I'm as ready. I plan on taking the SAT in December or January.

I was thinking like towards the end of the year.

For what it’s worth, taking it during winter of my junior year was one of the better decisions I made last year. By spring, I had AP exams and track and work going on at the same time. I was really glad that I was done with standardized testing. It’ll be a lot easier later if you get it over with sooner.

Ahhhh stop we’re not juniors yet we’re not old we’re just babies stop this isn’t happening.

I really hate this feeling. But probably this winter as well.

I’m a rising senior, but I think you should have time to take them at least twice.
I took the SAT for the second time in January of my junior year, and the ACT for the third time in March of my junior year.

Do colleges see how many times you take the SAT and ACT?

Depends. Some schools require you to send in all your scores, others will take only your best.

January 2014 :D

I’m taking the SAT in October! I just want to get it over with, haha.

Just took it in june!:)

Gonna study for SAT during Christmas break and test in January. Then I will take a state mandated ACT in the spring. ACT will be for the second time so I will only take a practice test or two to get prepared.

From a class of 2014-er, take them in the fall, get your score back and see if you want to retake in the spring. It’s super nice knowing I don’t have to worry about tests during my senior year.

I’ll probably take the SAT in January, just because Feb-May will be flooded with AP tests and Olympiad exams. I’ll have two weeks of winter break right before the test to study hardcore if need be. Plus if I feel the need to retake it, I don’t have to wait until fall of senior year, b/c I feel that would be too much stress/time-crunching along with college apps. I might take the ACT, depending on how well I do on the SAT.

I’m a junior when do you take the PSAT to be eligible for the National Merit Scholarship scholarship?

@nfrancis, October for PSAT

I took the SAT in June without studying at all just to see where I was at and I did terrible (1670 lol) but I’m studying my butt off this summer and will take the SAT probably once 1st semester and once 2nd semester. Not sure if I’ll take the ACT, although I hear girls usually do a little better on that than the SAT.

I think im gonna take it in January now

I’m taking it this October. I’ve been studying since like last week. Doin pretty well on the practice tests. Then I’m doin sat 2s in June

I’m planning to take the SAT in the fall… So either October or November. I took it at the end of last year (soph year), but I didn’t prep at all. I did okay, so I’m prepping over the summer with the hope that my score will improve by fall. If fall comes around, and I don’t feel confident, I’ll probably wait until spring.
But as of right now, my goal is to get it over with in the fall, and if I’m unhappy with my score, I’ll retake in spring.

I’ll be taking the PSAT again in October, then the SAT in April, since that’s when everyone in my school takes it. I’m probably going to take it in January as well. I doubt I’ll end up taking the ACT.
