Unfortunately, during sophomore and freshman year, I was blocked out of 2/3 honors courses (AP's only offered junior year) at my school (my parents and I tried so hard, the system is incredibly strict, we went to the district board and everything). Junior year, however, they lifted it, and I was able to take more honors and APs. And now senior year, I'm def maxing out my schedule with AP's. How much will my lack of hard classes freshman and sophomore year affect me?

Not at all. My school didn’t let us take APs until sophomore year, and then only a max of 2.
It should show up on the school profile they send (has info about which APs the school offers, how many kids take them, and when they take them), but if it doesn’t and you’re still concerned, ask your counselor to mention it in their rec. (“LadyGaga took the most rigorous courseload available to her, since School X limits the AP classes a student can take in the first two years” or something)

Oh okay, should I put it in the additional information as well?

It won’t, as long as you took the most rigorous coursework available to you in your school at that time. I maxed out on AP’s this year as well!

But, during sophomore and freshman year, honors were available to those who got in earlier on in middle school, unfortunately just not me. Should I include this information in the additional information? I just dont want them to think that I CHOSE not to take hard classes. My GPA still remained strong after additional honors/ AP classes.

and thanks for the help so far!

bummppppppp

I don’t think it should make that much of a difference. A lot of schools don’t even offer many AP’s during fresh/soph years. For example, there’s only 1 AP during soph year and none during fresh. year, so you’ll probably have around the same amount of AP’s in the end. Dont worry!

But don’t include it in the additional info. Use that to mention some more attractive qualities, and don’t draw attention to your flaws.

chill, you’ll be ok. one of the admissions officers at stanford is placed in charge of your reigion and so they will be an expert on the policies of each school in your area (including yours) so they will realize you couldnt have taken AP classes or as many as you might have liked to. regardless though as long as you show that you challenge yourself through your course load the number of APs wont hardly matter anyway.

don’t waste space whining about the fact that you couldn’t challenge yourself as hard as you think the admissions office would want you too, Stanford of all schools doesnt care for antisocial nerds, so relax and let your personality show through on the app, dont try to make yourself into somthing just because you think thats what they want.

I see a lot posters on CC who have like 15+ APs with all 5’s… ridiculous…

Everyone’s school has different course selections and different policies regarding when to take the courses… Should be okay…
