hi!
I've had a question for a while about what courses I've been taking in HS.
The Common App asks me about the courses I'm taking this year, and because I'm in the IB, last year's courses were really similar. But during Freshman and Sophomore year I did the IGCSE so some of my classes were harder than others, and I still got a good GPA. How can I mention this in the CommonApp?

Also, I do want to mention I'm doing two HS programs at the same time: IB/IGCSE and the Mexican CCH program, so I have extra CCH classes (some schools near here only do the IB), and I'm still maintaining a good GPA. How can I explain this in the CommonApp?

Colleges will see your transcript (your classes and the grades you got in them), so they’ll know that you did the IGCSE, the CCH, and the IB, no need to explain it (unless you did the CCH classes outside of school, in which case you can include them in the ‘additional information’ section. If you did it during school though it’ll just show up on your transcript)
The only reason that the common app asks for your senior year classes is because they won’t see your senior year transcript until you send in your semester report halfway through the year, they’ve already been informed about your freshman-junior course load, so don’t worry about explaining it to them.
Good luck and great job with the classes, those are really great :D

Thanks!! That makes TONS of sense haha
Do you think it’s worth sending in my IGCSE Diploma? I got a 2 C’s: one in science, because I changed teachers about 4 times, and the other one in Maths but it was the highest score I could get. I have two B’s and the rest are all A’s. Or should I mention this in the Academic Honors section?
Thanks!
