HS Junior's chance of getting into UCI's Nursing Program?

Little sis is a junior. She wants to go to UCI to study nursing.

SAT: not yet taken
ACT: not yet taken
APs: Taken AP World, is now taking AP Bio
Honors: All Honors classes, except US History
Relevant courses to Nursing: Chem Honors, AP Bio, Human Anatomy
GPA: 4.4
Extracurriculars: Jewelry Club, Astronomy Club, Mock Trial

Current Courseload: English 3H, Pre-calc H, Chem H, French 4H, AP Bio, Human Anatomy
Planned Courseload for Senior Year: AP English, AP Calc BC, AP French, AP Chem, and 2 electives.

I suggested that she major in Pharm Sci (because she likes science) and go to community college and transfer with TAG. I know that UCI’s Nursing program is ridiculously competitive, and at least she has a very good chance of transferring with Pharm Sci.

What do you think? Should she listen to her big sis?

Repost when her Junior is finished and has SAT and/or ACT scores. No point in chancing. Have her calculate her UC GPA: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/</a></p>

But is she competitive enough given her courseload and ECs?
