HS scheduling dilemma

I have a dilemma here, I can't take the Pre-AP science class I was supposed to take for sophomore year (Pre-AP chemistry) because I have 2 classes(Band and Leadership) during the 2 periods when Pre-AP chemistry is taught. I can't change those classes b/c I have to be in those two. So my counselor gave me the junior year class (Pre-AP physics).

So my question is: Should I take the Pre-AP physics or should I switch to regular chemistry?
Would switching to regular chemistry affect the chances of colleges admitting me?

I don’t know the system at your school (we don’t have pre-AP, just honors and AP). If pre-AP is like honors I recommend switching to physics (to keep your rigor up), if there is an honors option just take chemistry.
