A 5 point jump is quite a feat, especially in a section where you’re performing below-par already. But here, I have some questions for you:
- Have you taken a trigonometry course at your school?
- How many practice tests have you gone through?
- Do you have a math teacher who would be willing to go through the math problems with you/allow you to take practice tests in his/her room after school?
I am in a pre-calc course right now (by no means a high caliber math course) and English is my strength too (33 Reading, 31 Writing), but I jumped from a 24 to a 26 on my math just from taking a practice test or two in my teacher’s room and then reviewing over the mistakes. I’d say the ACT also helped me focus for my college placement tests as well.
Anyhow, I digress.
Best of luck!
