HS Sophomore - Chances and a pesky SAT-II score

Hi.

I'm a white male sophomore at a large high school in New Jersey. I have yet to be ranked. I don't have much substantative material for you to chance me with, but please try:

7th grade SAT (Not that it counts, but if it's an indicator of how I'll do next year, please tell me)

640 Verbal, 580 Math

GPA

Unweighted: 4.3/4.6
Weighted: 5.1/5.6

PSAT's - taken last month, set to arrive next month

SAT II's - taken last June

Molecular Bio - 750
Modern Hebrew - 530 (Will this hurt my chances?)

Courseload (I'm in a specialized International Studies program):

9th Grade: Honors Global Studies, Honors World Lit, Honors Art History, Honors Geometry, Honors Bio, Spanish II (Straight A's)

10th Grade: AP US History, AP Comparative Gov., Honors American Lit, Honors Chem, Honors Algebra II, Spanish III

Extracurriculars:

Junior Statesmen of America - Chapter State Assembly Representative, New Jersey Director of Debate Research

Forensics - Extemporaneous Speaking

Octagon (Community Service)

Project Open Door (Community Service)

Jewish Student Union - Awaiting Board Position

NJ Science League - Top Bio Scorer in School

Am I on the right track for:

Harvard?
Dartmouth?
UPenn?
Georgetown?
GWU?
Claremont McKenna?

Not too much you can do with chances right now.
But as you know, keep your grades up.
Keep your involvement with EC's; working up to a leadership position.

Also, I think with SAT II's, if you took more (ie Math, History, etc) you wouldn't have to send your Hebrew score...I think you can only submit like 3Max? That may be incorrect. But I'm sure if you took other SAT IIs and got good scores, you could send those in.

Your stats are pretty good, and with 2 years before you need to deal with this, I'd say there's plenty of room to improve
Good luck!

I'm sorry, I'm a bit confused. How can you have a higher than 4.0 GPA unweighted? Please excuse me if it's a stupid question.

Unweighted GPA cannot be greater than 4.0. Weighted GPA cannot be greater than 5.0.

Colleges see ALL your SAT scores, including that horribly abysmal Hebrew SAT 2.

In response to Pengsta, my district calibrates an A+ to 4.6.

It's too early to tell. Just keep working hard and get good ACT/SAT scores while doing well in the ECs

The Hebrew score will only hurt you if you're applying to a university that requires Hebrew knowledge.

640 Verbal in 7th grade should translate to an 800 CR. 580 Math translates to a 750 Math. Now there's a prediction no one else will be willing to make!
