Hey, I'm new to the forum. I just wanted to know what you guys think of my stats and where you think I might get accepted to. You can tell me Top -- schools or ivy or specific names; I don't care. I just want to know my general standing.

So basically I'd like to know what you think I might be able to get into, so I don't waste my time and hopes on colleges that I don't have a shot at. I need to know what to aim for! Thanks you guys :]

You haven't been very specific in what classes your school offers versus what you're taking. In my high school, there are sophomores taking between 0 and 5 AP classes (those with 5 are freaks, though, who took precalc over summer after freshman year...and lack social skills). Were you there and only taking one AP, top colleges probably wouldn't appreciate that. At your school, if one is all that is offered, colleges cannot penalize you.

Your extracurriculars are good. Just try to be president or some position in debate and whatever other clubs you're in. I know people with 3.6 GPAs get into elite schools like UChicago and Northwestern because of high SAT scores and having positions in a couple different clubs.

The amount of ambiguity from your post combined with your opportunity to either sink or swim in the next 4 semesters before college apps make it difficult to say, exactly, what's what. What I can say is set your hopes high and work hard. Good luck.

Well, as of now you can't take anymore AP's other than US History. The only other AP's that I can be taking at the moment are electives, which I'm not going to take unless I have an interest and I hope colleges will appreciate that. I'm definitely taking the hardest possible courses at the moment.

As for extracurriculars, I'll be applying as an executive position in some clubs next year (when I'm eligible). Oh, and I forgot! I'm a senator for my grade :]
