Do any of you know if getting accepted into a competetive summer program will increase chances for admission?

Any personal experiences or info would be great!

Hm....no

No correlation at all. Unless it's some super intense, selective program.

Of the 15 or so kids who I went to Summer@Brown with last summer who applied to Brown only 3 got in. Of course, they're still going to Tufts, NYU, Georgetown, Colgate, etc.

But that sort of thing is probably self-selective.

Attending a summer program at a specific school does NOT increase your chances of admission to that school.

It seems RSI kids get to go wherever they want. According to one of last year's rickoids, everyone got into their first choice.

ehh i wouldnt think summer@brown would be good considering all can apply can get in

i would say somethin like Harvard SSP, cuz its a tough program

I did that last summer, and this summer im doing governor school which is mad hard to get into (100 kids per state)
