When are all decisions supposed to be out? I still haven’t heard back yet
just got my email - rejected… Sucks but after the long wait I was kinda expecting it. Good luck to anyone else still hanging in there!!
@Duke47 okie haha, hopefully my check gets there in time to be fair they emailed me really late…
@johnjohn2019 was your total program fee due today even though your acceptance was like 2 days ago? Hopefully, they go by the postmark!
Considering the program fees were due today, I’d think everyone’s final decision (acceptance or rejection) will be coming by the end of this week. I doubt anyone would back out after paying.
Sorry Caymandreaming and PowerschoolLul:(
@johnjohn2019 Don’t sweat it. My deposit was due April 24th, and I think they sent me a confirmation email saying they got in around April 29th (even though I mailed it in a few days prior to April 24th). They’re pretty chill about deadlines once you’ve been accepted, just make sure you send in the email saying “I will be attending”, and if you feel the need send in an extra email to Dr. Richmond telling her your circumstance (she’s super chill and will be perfectly fine with it).
@curiousme2 Judging by previous years’ threads, anyone accepted now will be accepted as an “alternate”. In previous years up to 2 or 3 alternates are accepted, but, yes, the chances are slim to none at this point if you haven’t heard back yet.
@curiousme2 don’t worry about it. Although HSHSP was my first choice, I got another summer internship and it’s 5 weeks long
Hey guys, I decided to attend Bank of America Student Leaders so if anyone still hasn’t heard back yet, I hope you get my spot.
Phew, @PowerSchoolLul ! I’m so relieved to hear you have another summer internship lined up, I’m a believer in whatever was meant to be will happen. Same thing happened here, C didn’t get 1st choice program but does have an awesome back-up so that’s what was meant to be. All great things this summer!
@Duke47 oh wow, so you got into BoA! But I thought you already paid for HSHSP? Have a wonderful summer!
@curiousme2 Yea, I lost the $200 non-refundable deposit but they shredded the main check (which was very nice of them). To be honest it was an extremely difficult decision to make but ultimately BoA was just the easier option (since I still need to retake the SAT in August and such).
Nevertheless, I hope everyone attending HSHSP has the summer of their lives!
@Duke47 do you know the official refund policy? It’s a bit later, did she say it was special circumstances or just cuz you told her so early
well GL anyone still waiting, a spot is opening up in HSHSP
@johnjohn2019 is Dr. Richmond refunding your $3,600? Do you mind sharing why you’ve decided against HSHSP?
@johnjohn2019 When I emailed her my check had never arrived, it was still in the mail. I kindly asked her to just shred it when it came and thankfully she obliged.
Also yeah, why didn’t you go?
@curiousme2 Did you get into RISE? I was accepted but had to deny because of Bank of America.
Not gonna lie, kind of surprised I got accepted into three summer programs with a 1450 SAT (and a 1400 when I applied for HSHSP!)
Not matched at RISE. That’s okay, plan B is in effect. (C doesn’t want me to specify)
