<p>Why not? They received 29000+ applications this year for 1600 spots… So, if we assume that the school used the expected 31-33% yield to accept students, they should have accepted 4500. which is around 15%</p>
<p>Sorry BearCub. I was expressing my shock at how selective this school has become. For some reason I keep thinking its a school with a 20~% admit rate like Vandy, Rice, JHU…</p>
<p>I’m rather shocked with Brown Univ. at 8%… Always thought of Brown as one of those 20% acceptance rate schools as well.</p>
<p>These low acceptance rates will probably mean other still pretty good schools like Rutgers-NB, NYU, etc. will become more competitive as well, mostly from people expecting to be Ivy-rejects.</p>
