I would greatly appreciate a quick response. I got into Harvard. Wasn't AT ALL expecting it. I was, in fact, so sure I wasn't getting in that I didn't apply for financial aid. I have no way to pay full tuition, room and board, etc. Is it too late to apply for financial aid? I have all my documents ready, and I have the IDOC thing, CSS Profile, and FAFSA. Can I still get a financial offer?

Congratulations. My advice would be to contact financial aid. E-mail or call them tomorrow. My guess is that since Harvard guarantees to meet 100% of documented financial need of accepted students, they'll still take your info. Best of luck!

I think you can still apply for fin. aid. Can't hurt and might help.

Thank you! I am writing out a letter right now.

hey man, congrats. i just got in rd too.

the answer is you should be able to apply without a problem. the reason you want to do it so early is just so you get your fin aid decision WITH your acceptance letter rather than afterwards. i wouldn't be suprised if they can process your financial info in about 2 weeks----maybe even less.

So are you going to start the Utada Hikaru fan club at Harvard? Congratulations.

P.S. What do you think about the Harvard cheerleaders? ;)

lol. you're onto me tokenadult. Here's what happened: I started sending my idoc stuff, css profile, and fafsa last night. I took northstarmom's advice and called harvard today. they said what acidmatter and brokenchild said they would. I can still apply now and get an award before may 3(shifted deadline). The funny thing is, they commented that I was pretty much through with the application already because everything had come in by the time I called except for the PROFILE. So thanks everyone! Problem solved.

Oh, and tokenadult - that's a great suggestion. I wish everyone worshipped Utada like I do. and nobody bests MIT cheerleaders :)

Glad to hear the update! I know that's a big load off your mind. Now you can really settle down and enjoy your acceptance!

Great job! Let me tell you, out of all my acceptances, Harvard has given me the best financial aid package. It is absolutely amazing. To attend, including the work-study program and student contribution, we will only have to pay $5,500 a year. It is amazing.
