hi,, i have a huge problem,, I want to apply ED to MIT, my SAT2 scores got a big problem..
I took three subjects on May: Chem, Phy, Math2c,
but I skipped one question on chem test but i didnt skip my answer, and so my result came out horrible,, well... of course,, I got 430 on Chem.. I tried to cancel the score but then I have to cancel all three. I got 800 on both Math2c and Phys, and I have to apply ED so it's too late to take another SAT2, what should I do??
Colleges look at all the scores right???

whens ED due for MIT?

it's not too late. you can still take tests in october and november

Isn't it just the highest two scores?

Doesn't MIT have EA, not ED?

Anyway, their website says "most applicants" take a science SAT II their senior year (oct or nov), so don't worry!

IvyLeague-You need a math, a science, and a third exam.

can't you get a re-score? maybe i'm wrong...

yes, MIT has EA...
hmmm, rescoring, you might be able to do that - check score services/ score stuff next to the test (online), or maybe that was for the...APs...

I'm pretty sure that this year MIT only requires two SAT II's because of the new SAT. So don't worry, you're okay. :) If it's really going to bother you, though, you can just retake it in the fall.

NOTE: MIT requires THREE, I repeat, THREE SATII's even if you took the NEW SAT.

Yeah, I know, some people think only two SATII's are required for the NEW SAT, but this is NOT true for MIT (although for many other colleges, it is true).

Oh yeah, oops... this year they still require 3 SAT II's, but starting next year they will only require 2.

thankx all for your help,,,
uh oh,,,, 3 SAT2s??? Does it have to be all math or science??
cuz I took Hist. and got 720.
ED is due nov 1st.. should i take Oct test?? wait,, what about the scores? dont they come out after 4 weeks?? that's too late..

For SAT II's, MIT requires one math, one science, and one humanities. So that's actually perfect that you got a 720 on USH... now you meet all of the requirements!

you should call them up and explain your situation IMO

ya,, that's good idea.. ill call the admission office,,,
maybe theyll understand
