PROBLEM: I don't have any more opportunities to take the New SAT (I need to take all my SAT IIs, which I prefer to do independently from the SAT I). I recieved a score of 720 on the CR on the March administration. This said, I had usually scored around 780 on the section on practice tests.

SO, I did some research on my options (remember, I can't take the SAT I again...at least in time for the Early Application) (...and frankly, I wouldn't want to endure four more laborious hours for a small section of the test), and I figured, why not take the SAT II Literature, which I hear is very similar to the CR.

SO, my question for you all is: is the SAT II Literature a viable substitute for the SAT I CR? How do colleges compare/contrast the two?

Responses are INCRIDEBLY appreciated.

well they may be an okay replacement. But i dont think they can substitute the scores, cuz literature is well more literary and SAT CR is just critical thinking

why can't you take SAT I in (october or november? not sure of dates) isn't that in time for the early apps?

assuming your other scores are good, 720 is not going to be a problem.

Well I guess lit. can't be accepted everywhere as substitute for CR, I guess you'll time to do the SAT I in October, nah?

If you dont normally have the time, Just ask the uni ur considering in u can mail the score a bit later, am sure a lot wont mind...

Why don't u apply regular? - ull get enough time to patch up everything?

Yea, 720 isn't bad, but no way they'd substitute it in for CR.

agree willimgton, but if he has a 1500 old to begin w/ bumping up the score 40 points or so isn't going to make much diffeence. esp. w/ the chance that he/she could do worse.
