Congratulations! It is great to see someone who has worked hard and has so much going for her get in! It is quite the rollor coaster isn't it, applying to a group of colleges such as these!

Congrats! It is wonderful to see that someone's hard work was rewarded.

Wow--and congratulations to you and your daughter. My heart went out to you when I read about your disheartening wait for responses yesterday. I know how hard it is not to be able to give our children all the wonderful things they want--especially when they truly deserve them--and how much it restores our faith in the universe to find out that things can turn out as they should after all.

Enjoy this moment. Today is exactly a year from my daughter's long-awaited acceptance (after deferral) into her first-choice school, and I still get chills thinking about it.

high fives !!!!

Wonderful! Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Alumother, It's morning on my side of the world and yours was the first of several good news posts that popped up on my screen. Stanford! Wow! So glad to hear that an adcom finally appreciated what you've known for 17 years.

CONGRATS!v What a relief, and what great news!

congratulations.....

YAY!!! So happy for your daughter! I just really felt as I posted on your other thread when she had the two negative mails in hand yesterday that given what I knew about your daughter, that one of her top choices was likely to come through if you could hang in there! My own kids started out their college decisions with a "no" and it was all uphill from there and so you gotta keep the faith. It is harder to start out with the rejections but good things come to those who wait.

WOW WOW WOW on Stanford. I hope Princeton is also a choice but frankly if it all stopped now, your daughter has such a great school and opportunity ahead. Relish in the moment, What a ride!

Susan

Congratulations!!!

Alum -

From your previous thread:

I will just go home and eat dinner and tell her I love her and it'll be fine. But nothing I can do will ever erase this for her.<<

Maybe you couldn't erase it, but a nice fat envelope from Stanford can!

Congratulations!

Warmest congratulations! your daughter is fortunate as well as deserving. Our son went throgh a similar wild rollercoaster ride last year and ended up at Stanford, and he tells us it aws the best possible outcome fo him.

Huh, Stanford. I think I heard of it before. What is it - one of those trendy little LAC's that few people even know about?

...but congratulations anyway... :)
