<p>I realize this is probably university-dependent, but can anyone give me some idea about housing for a soph transfer at schools like Wisconsin, Michigan, Univ. of Washington? Would I be out of luck - find an apartment or how does that work? Also, can you pledge a frat as a sophomore, or is it impossible? Trying to figure out how one makes friends as a sophomore.</p>

<p>Most universities have off-campus housing information. If you don’t get a space in a dorm, there will be lists of people who are looking for housemates, lists of landlords and apartment complexes that rent to students, and information about places where you rent “by the bed” or “by the room” that will match you with apartmentmates. Don’t forget to use your own networks. You mom’s cousin’s neighbor’s kid may be there and can help you out.</p>
