Huge Upward Trend Chances?

<p>hey im a white male, middle-upper class family. I live in Canada and I attend the only school in the nation with a work at your own pace environment where u attend seminars and it can really prepare you for university.</p>

<p>Top 3% in my grade</p>

<p>Grade 10 I slumped really bad as I took my parents seperation pretty bad and I started experimenting with drugs, but thats all done now.</p>

<p>Havent taken SAT or ACT yet but considering how Im not very good at taking tests I will probably get a little above average</p>

but your chances seem good just as long as you get a nice sat/act score, you know it is all riding on that.</p>

<p>Just get good SAT/ACT scores and you can probably aim even a little higher (provided that you’re interested in other schools). You seem to have some unique experiences (i.e. brain tumor, parents’ separation, TV/movie actor) that, if made into good essays, could improve your chances significantly despite your 10th year grades.</p>

<p>You have a good shot at the UCs, but being OOS (international) will make them much tougher.</p>

<p>Strong int’l applicant for UCs, but like kyledavid said, its harder for int’ls. USC is a very good shot, but you would have to do well on the SATs as well. Getting the average (1500) is not going to cut it for pretty much any of the schools on there. Breaking 2000, on the other hand, would make you competitive (high match given int’l status) for all of them. </p>

<p>As for UBC, I’d wager no one on here would be able to chance you on that, but I guess your grades aren’t too far off, although the only reference I have for that is my friend who got in with a 95% average…</p>
