Did UIUC just reduce their rates? http://www.oar.uiuc.edu/future/international/tuition.html
I'm pretty sure that the total expenses was around 40,500 before.
Whats up?

It is not too far off for 2005-06 (not next year's rates) but they did screw up. The tuition and fees for out-state should be $22,756, estimated books should be $950, and the year long living expense should be higher. What happened is that they just recently redid a lot of the pages and formatting on the website and some how made the mistake of putting the 2004-05 figures on that page for internationals that is supposed to be 2005-06

wow...I somehow got super excited looking at the slash in cost :P
Darn, they added approx 8000$ over 3 years.

i'm hoping they dont do that over the next 3 years... gasp

Tuition can go up for each new freshman class. However, the tuition you pay your freshman year will stay the same through your senior year. Each freshman class locks in its tuition rate for 4 years. Fees and room & board can rise annually.

well i am pretty sure theres a mistake there....this figure is most probably for 8 months study....the 12 months on campus figure is close to 40K...
