HUM sequence vs. Integrated Science curriculum

I am a freshman and I'm interested in both the Humanities sequence (HUM 216-219) and the Integrated Science curriculum. I know that both are really challenging and the HUM may be impossible to get into, but if I did, would it be possible to complete both the HUM sequence and the Integrated science one?

it would pretty much be suicide, and I doubt an adviser would let you do it. The HUM kids I knew pretty much spent all of their free time reading, and the Integrated kids I knew pretty much spent all of their free time on problem sets. Unless you’re super man (or woman), I don’t think it would be advisable. However, if you really really want to do both it is possible to do the Hum sequence sophomore year. Personally I would only recommend that you do Integrated if you’re sure you want to major in science, but I would recommend Hum to everyone (I’ve heard it’s really good). But then again I’m an English major. Alternatively you could apply to both and maybe the decision will be made for you.

Good luck in making a decision!
