<p>no, it's not harder to get into stat wise. But if you aren't a fit for the particular school, then there's a good chance you won't get in.</p>

<p>why don't you apply to arts and sciences then</p>
<p>this has been discussed before ... if you're a great fit for HumEc and have fantastic stats, you'll have a good shot of getting in. If you're not a good fit for the school, you wont get in regardless of your stats and should apply to arts and sciences instead. The "SUNY" (aka ... not suny) schools aren't easier to get into, though they often put more emphasis on other things besides just SATs giving them a slighly lower range.</p>
