If I am to take the AP exam for Human Geo. without taking the class, should I just use the barron’s book or am I better off reading from a legitimate textbook? Is the textbook necessary? I would like some help from people who have taken this exam please?

If you read the Barron’s review book thoroughly, you should get at least a four or a five. If you can get your hands on a good textbook though, it certainly couldn’t hurt.

I found a textbook much more helpful (5). As long as it’s a good one (mine was black and glossy, can’t remember name). I never used a review book, as the textbook was perfectly adequate, but I know people who did use a review book with the textbook and got a 5.

Don’t need at textbook, but I recommend PR over Barron’s, but make sure you read it.

used a barron’s review book and got a 5

When I took human geo, I used REA. I looked at barron’s and others but I thought REA was the best. Human Geography just felt like memorizing a bunch of random facts. =/
