Human Rights Law

I'm very interested in human rights law and my absolute dream job would be the secretary-general post at Amnesty International. When I checked the profiles of all the people who worked at these top human rights/international law agencies like UN, AI and some smaller ones, I found that almost every single person had attended a top US law school. I have no interest in doing the wall street/consulting type of jobs. I want to do something with human rights law and that is the only reason I'm doing law. Is law school the way to go? I'm 18.

Can someone please let me know the scope of human rights law?
