I was recently accepted to UMass Amherst, and I want to major in something in the humanities, probably English. I know that UMass is strong in things like computer science, engineering, business, etc., but how are the humanities departments?
If you are in-state and this is your cheapest option you should definitely come here. They are currently building a brand new state of the art (GORGEOUS) humanities building. Don’t go into debt if you are in-state and have this awesome affordable option.

Biology with a pre-dent track. I’ve taken some fun gen-eds in the humanities department. “Comic art in north america” (comp-lit), “Modern Chinese History” (History), and honors writing. I almost took “witchcraft and magic” (classics) but it didn’t fit in my schedule.
