Humanities Awards

I know there's an inordinate amount for math and science, but what are some prestigious awards/competitions for students whose strengths are in the humanities? The only ones I know of thus far are the Scholastic Writing Awards and, though not really an award, the TASP program.

The John F Kennedy Library's Profile in Courage Essay Contest is a big one

and if youre into writing 15 pages single spaced it looks good to be published in the Concord Review (thats probably the biggest one)

there is also an ayn rand essay contest. My english class did it last year.

look for local essay contests, google: "your area essay contests"

The NCTE is another big one.

Ohh yeah, you could also send in a "This I Believe" essay to NPR
