Alright, so I'm about to apply to some elite schools RD. I've already applied to Stanford EA. Some of the schools, mainly HYP, allow creative writing supplements if the applicant feels the writing is of an unusually high quality and already has credentials in that field. From what I understand, the admissions committee will give the sample to the appropriate faculty if they are considering the applicant seriously, so it really has to really be top-notch.

Over these past four years, creative writing has been a big part of my life as a person and a scholar. I have the EC's awards I imagine they would expect from someone sending a creative writing supplement, so I think I might be one of those people who should in fact send one. Anybody care to judge for themselves and provide feedback? The piece I'm considering is a satire, an irreverent work of humor, a short story of about four and a half pages.

Post your e-mail address here or PM it to me if you would like to give it a read and I'll send it to you as an attachment. The story is too many characters to send as a PM. Thank you for your time. - Geoffrey
