Hunter or Baruch for Accounting

Which is better for accounting. I am transferring from UCLA --- i had to move-- so i am changing my major as well, at the end of the day i will still have my UCLA degree in International Development, but accounting would be the money making degree.

Because i was moving to NYC for a while-- at first Baruch accepted me, i asked to be reconsidered for spring- was accepted to Hunter,. then reapplied for next spring - was accepted to hunter again.

Should i just go to hunter for accounting or apply for fall only to baruch.

I want to know which is better.

Although Baruch is more reknown in accounting, I would go to the school that is closer to your geographically. Accounting curriculum is mandated by the State Boards of Accountancy. They really don't vary that much from school to school, although some schools mandate more in liberal arts. Thus, I would attend the closer school or the one that ends up to be less expensive.

they are both in the same state system and cost the same and are roughly the same distance as i would have to take a train to get there.

If they cost the same, same distance, etc, go to Baruch. It is a very reknown school in accouning and has a terrific pass rate on the CPA.

baruch is the only cuny school that has a aasba certification (or w/e its called) so choose baruch
