Any of you were interviewed by an alumnus?
Yes, all special programs’ applicants will be interviewed by an alumnus/a
Yupp, Huntsman alumnus from class of 2001
Yeah, but I was interviewed by a Wharton Grad and not a Huntsman grad. C/O 87.
perhaps they tried to allocate an alumnus/a from Huntsman for you but were unable to find one in your area?
I guess. Where are you guys applying from?
@JonEilish I live in Virginia and did a virtual interview with someone in California, so I don’t think so. The interview was sort of strange, because I didn’t really have much in common intellectually with my interviewer, as he is in a very different field than what I am interested in. Very intelligent and friendly guy, but we talked more about my extracurricular interests than my academic interests.
What language are you guys applying for?
Spanish for me
@YungEconomics that’s interesting. Then perhaps they were trying to match you with someone whom they think will have a similar personality? I’m just speculating cause I did mine on Skype as well and talked a lot about my ECs with the interviewer.
@abpuma I’m doing Italian
Yeah I applied ED to Huntsman and didn’t get interviewed either, even though Marco bragged to me about how all Huntsman ED applicants get interviewed by Huntsman alumni. Weird. I think it’s because I actually met with Marco and Inge, but it’s not like they took notes or asked me any prepared questions.
Hey y’all! I applied to Huntsman RD. Did any of y’all get back good news??
I was interviewed by a Wharton Grad and not a Huntsman Grad just ten days ago
Same I have a interview next week by a Wharton grad
^admissions is scrambling to get alumni interviewers, ~44.5k is an enormous number of applicants to cover entirely, let alone tailor the interviewer specifically to the intended programs and interests of each applicant.
One more day!! I’m so nervous, but I’m also not expecting much from Huntsman lmao. What a dream. I also have not taken any SAT II tests in a language. Have all y’all?
