I'd love to be a Huntsman 09er, but first I need to sort out the financial-situation. UPenn's offer was (surprisingly) a mere fraction of what Yale/Harvard/Dartmouth offered.

Apparently Huntsman folk don't get any financial aid "boosts"?

I am near Paris, between Paris and Versailles. It's great. Congratulations on your choice of target language hehe! I am doing spanish as a target language, though, not french.

at this point, i'm definitely leaning towards harvard because the curriculum is less rigid and i have a lot of interests that i would like to pursue. additionally, i think the people at harvard will be amazing...80 countries represented! not to say that huntsman and penn kids in general won't be, but harvard i think is particularly unique in this regard, even in comparison to yps. of course, this is all conjecture and i'm certainly not going to make a definitive decision before visiting both again. one thing i will say definitively is that harvard dorms are incredible and king's court is...not (some rooms are okay, while others are just terrible). i look forward to meeting all of you at huntsman day and at harvard's open house.

I'm stuck as well.. I LOVE the Hunstman program, but...

UPenn doesn't do it for me

King's Court is a turn-off (why would they require us to stay in the crappiest dorms?!)

The lack of curriculum flexibility is a bummer as well....

im wondering about this whole kings court thing, i mean huntsman is so rigerous and hard to get into then they put you up in the worst freshman housing? im not sure if kc is just getting a bad rap on these message boards but if what people say is true something should be done..

in the housing packet that came with admisisons, they have a chart with all of the dorms and all of the amenities. Kings Court does not fare well....

First off, we're only required to live there for a year, after that, you can buy a 1 million dollar apartment for all they care. The whole point of having you live in Kings Court is because it's supposed to be the "international" dorm...get it? If you are choosing colleges based on dormitories, then I'll go for Harvard. If you are unsure of what the hell you wanna study/major in, I'll go for Harvard. If you are really not that into Penn, I'll go for Harvard. If you are not all of those things, I'll (I did) go for Penn.

My best advice is for you guys to go to the Wharton Forums for acceptees, and all the pips there have a lot of answers to your guys' questions. King's Court isn't THAT bad...And I've talked to a few people that says they like it for it's environment (quiet)...which comes really handy when you are cramming for an load of exams...
