dostoyevsky: the lady in charge of huntsman flat out told me that their average sat was 1530 and that you need a 1450 to be considered. she said that they dont base their choice on sats, but if there are two similar applicants that will definitely tip the scale.

where else are you applying alita? why aren't you applying early?

oh yea and why are you retaking all those tests? you did really well on all of them i think that if you took them again, you would risk looking like you're obsessed about test scores... just my opinion

i see alita....i know that they have a very high test average (when dred and i stayed there overnight, every other kid we saw had a 1580+), but there were some people there that had 3.6 GPAs in high school, so i dont think stats are mostly what gets you in (they just get one foot through the door, personal stuff has a huge weight).....but yea alita, u have an excellent chance!.....dred, why havent you put your info up here?

I am applying ED for Chinese, though I think my chinese SATII will not be high enough.

I'm retaking because when i visited yesterday the director of the program who also does admissions for it told me to retake the math parts. she said they wanted 750+. So, i had to late register to retake the sat's even tho i dont want to. This will be my 3rd time w/ sats, second w/ math 2c. But i would be even dumber to ignore what the person in charge of admissions told me.

im applying rd for financial aid reasons and because i have 3-4 top schools and didnt want to box myself in to ED. So i applied ea to one school and the other three rd.

alita....who was it that you talked to? Ginger or Inge?

dostoyevsky... im morally opposed to posting stats. nothing against everyone else who does, i just don't like the idea of putting my "not-so-stellar" scores up for others to compare themselves to me. my scores won't get me into the Program. like you've been saying, scores are only a foot in the door.

Inge-who is ginger?

inge only just became director last year. ginger used to be the director of the program.

Hey I've applied to Huntsman ED as well. My chances are pretty low for Huntsman, but I think I have a good shot at Wharton.

Good luck to all of you and please feel free to rate my chances at Wharton and/or Huntsman.

Also do you guys know when they're going to release the decisions?

I think it's the same as for Wharton - December 10th. ALso, does anyone know if you can get into Wharton and get defferred to Huntsman (and then you could get in in the Spring)? One more thing: anyone else really enrvous about the oral test?

king-- i'm not sure about your first question. i highly doubt it though. i think you are either accepted or denied from Huntsman. about the test... you really shouldn't worry about it at all. from what i hear, it's more of a placement test than it is an evaluative one. if you get the test, you're pretty much already in... at least that's what the current Huntsman freshmen told me.

in that case, has anyone gotten the test yet?

kingb123, one of my friends tells me that the test will be administered the first week of December.

yea. about two or three weeks before the decision

ok. also, i haven't got my online login yet. has everyone else?

nope....i havent received mine

i got mine about a week and half ago.
