Huntsman-ers/ites (?) only!

well, if worst comes to worst, i'll just take out a chinese dictionary starting this week and start memorizing the words. I've done it once for the SAT I Verbal, can't believe i'm doing this for chinese....

me neither

Good Luck. :)

wait, freedom... you got it already? p.s. i think the test is only oral

Catch-22, what Chinese literary analysis exactlly are you doing?

nope, i haven't gotten the tape , i was just wondering

Reading classic/modern Chinese literature. Getting a Dual Language Diploma...I think flameball63 is doing this too (I know her! She goes to another IB school in AZ...awesome person:)). But, I am studying Chinese Literature, currently reading Lu Xun (frickin' awesome), and must finish off like sixteen books by May...errrrrr... It includes Chinese poetry (Li Bai, Su Dong Po, Du Pu...etc. ) and then, Chinese classical writings (Chu Ke Pai An I and II, Yu Shi Ming Yan, Hong Lou Meng- this...is going to be good...)...so..yeah..that's what I am doing. :)

Lit Analysis: I treat all of this as AP English Lit...I have to write a world lit paper for it...gosh...that's going to be a challenge.

"Tape-mediated oral proficiency tests are also required and will be sent to qualified applicants." - it is only oral. Also, has everyone but me received their green post card and log-in info? I tried calling and they blew me off and the online form never sends the password. Should I call the alumni office (I'm a legacy)? Thanks

well, it's always interesting to see someone continue their native language. I'm admire your perserverance. I, on the otherhand, am screwed. Our school offers IB, (which I don't do) but not the dual language program. so.....

No...it has a writing portion and a speaking portion. Last year's question was like: "What do you think of US foreign policy"...or something like that...

I've gotten everything but my green post card...I just rushed my crappy writing score to Penn...that's going to be my downfall...ouch.

same here kingb, I didn't receive my password nor my pin #, that could be because i applied by paper. I also tried calling the admission office, they were too busy to respond to my concerns. Then I emailed them, they still haven't respond. So today, my mom's heading down toward the admission office for the 4th time to bug them about this issue.

Yah, I got a 600 on the Chinese SATII

Oh well
<crosses fingers="" for="" wharton=""></crosses>

Freedomfries: It's understandable. Me and Flameball63 self-study it :) We get together like few times every couple of months...it's kinda fun. :)

don't worry Catch,

so both you are from the same school? tough competition,

Yea. I have already eliminated any hopes for me and Huntsman. :) Just fun to hang around the Huntsman Board. Wharton!!! HAHA. Oh...the agony.

No. She goes to another public school in AZ...:) We hang out!

you'll get in, i'm the person who's worried. I have not economic background whatsoever. Everthing i've done has to do w/ science, medicine.... oh well

No. I like to be practical. I know Huntsman accepts lots of below the belt way scores for language...some girl got a 770 on Chinese and still got it...I am sure you are a stronger applicant than me. I am from Arizona for god sakes!!! lol.

how do you know i'm a stronger applicant? and besides a lot of it has to do w/ luck. and by the way, i got a 780 on chinese, because i overlooked ONE multiple choice
