Huntsman proficiency test administered now?!?!?

ok guys.. i am a bit flustered... My counselor JUST told me today that I have to take a proficiency test... this friday (which is when decisions come out). Has anyone else had this also??? Do you know if I will get my decision in time? or will it be an automatic deferral?? AHH... goodness gracious this is frustrating. Any comment with any info would be great.

Thanks :)

it seems then that they already made the decision and are checking you just in case

isn't that a good thing? doesn't that mean that you're already in and they want to see how good you are at the language so they can place you accordingly?

uh... i'm not sure... what i'm worried about is that they will not receive the score of my test in time for their decision (which, by the way is this friday ;) ) and they will be like, "ooop, she didn't take it in time... DEFERRED!!" yeah. anywhoo, i really hope that this is a good sign... but i really don't think it is..... shucks.

I wasn't told that I have to. Odd.

huh? viva, did you get a letter from huntsman? is it not required??!!

I applied to Huntsman.

I have not been told to take a proficiency test. My target language is Spanish. What's yours?

french... although i don't think they put everyone through this torture... you're lucky

Hm. I guess I am. Maybe it's because I'm in AP Spanish, and I had my junior Spanish teacher write a rec too?

yeah... you've already showed your proficiency..

i'm in AP french this year... and didn't do so hot on the SAT II... i have a feeling my admittance is riding on this test.... no pressure. :)

i just realized that i just typed showed... man i need sleep.. either that or i need to stop banging my head on walls.

what's worse is that i'm thinking most people didn't catch the "showed"

bump (10 char)

ok... just wanted to update everyone. I talked to my counselor who called the huntsman office who said that they sent me the test because they didn't receive my SAT II test scores (thank you college board.) so everything is good. I faxed a copy over to them and that was all they needed.

so if I sent in my SAT II scores (I'm doing Chinese), then they will not ask me to do a language test?
