Ok many of us applied for huntsman ed. who all got in? who all rejected / deffered?

Hello!

I’m a fellow Huntsman student. I think there are only about 20 of us so far.

Since were going to be living together in the same dorm for a year, we might as well all get to know each other.

Nice to meet you!

By the way, I made a facebook group for huntsman 2014. Its called:

“Huntsman Class of 2014”

Deferred :(

Rejected – accepted into Wharton tho! so it’s all good :)

How I’d love to go to Huntsman!

Congratulations to all of you for getting accepted to Huntsman! That’s so great!! I wish I was with you all =/

Best of luck with everything :)

Congrats to all who got in ED! I’m hoping to join RD :)

Congrats to those who got in! I got deferred.

Deferred by Huntsman it turns out actually…and accepted into Wharton! I’ll find out from Huntsman in April, but until then i can relax with the knowledge that im in wharton.

really? how did that happen…? becaues I just spoke with my admissions officer and she said i was deferred at Huntsman as well but i didnt get a decision yet at all…i wont find out about CAS or Huntsman until april even though i was deferred at huntsman only

yea, I thought your application doesn’t reach CAS or Wharton until you’re rejected from Huntsman. That’s really interesting, though!

what’s the huntsman thing?

@ hardworker and gilmore_fan: I thought so too. last friday all the letter said was I was accepted into wharton. But two nights ago the dean of admissions emailed me saying they had decided to defer my huntsman decision to april (so i wasnt actually rejected from it), but until then i could rest assured that i was in wharton. They said this doesnt usually happen, but they just felt I’d be a good fit for Wharton, but still wanted some time to consider me for huntsman. So if Huntsman takes me, I can choose between it or wharton. weird, no?

maybe you all could post mini-stats (WGPA, ACT/ACT, Rank…great hooks)

Is it possible to do Huntsman and also play a varsity sport?

^ I like collegesgirl’s idea, mini stats would be great just so we know aprox what we should be aiming for :)

Hey, sorry for putting this question in here for your Huntsman thread, but since this thread is like a congregation of Huntsman students, I figured it would be a good source.

For the Huntsman essay, when they say discuss, do they mean they want your opinion on the issue? I feel like my essay now is mostly giving a history lesson/explaining what the issue is, or are they really looking for your own insightful thoughts. If you had to divide it up would it be 50% setup 50% your own insight/opinion into the issue?

One more question, would something economics related be considered business? My topic focuses more on economic issues between two countries. Does that count as an area where business and international affairs intersect? If possible I’d love to hear what your guys’s topics were :P

Thank you guys so much in advance. I really love Huntsman and Penn in general!

Are all the Huntsman spots gone to early decision? Don’t they have a limited number of spots.

For those accepted into Huntsman or already through the application process…
what else do you have to do for admissions?
besides language and Math Subject test and essay is there a special interview for only huntsman applicants or is it just a regular interview like if i was just applying to Wharton?
