<p>Looking to come down for a football weekend, and I’m finding airfares a lot lower for Huntsville compared to Birmingham. Is flying to HSV a bad idea?</p>
<p>HSV is a very nice little airport, but it does have International designation. EZ in and EZ out. Rarely any lines of any significance. I fly out of it all the time. </p>
<p>If you can get a cheap rate, and you don’t mind the drive, it’s super. All interstate to Bama… I565 W to I65 S to I20 W</p>
<p>It’s a pleasant surprise that you found a cheaper rate flying into Huntsville. They typically have some of the highest fares in the country. However, it is an easy 2.5 hour drive to Ttown on gameday.</p>

<p>Indeed! I have family there, and have alerts for “low” fares.</p>
<p>I was there a month ago, and stayed in the hotel that is actually IN the airport!</p>
