Hurricane Ike and ACT

My son is scheduled to take the ACT this Saturday-- about the time that the current hurricane tracking shows Ike roaring through town. Anyone have any experience about testing and natural disasters? I'm going to try to contact ACT today and see if they have any contingency plans. He really needs to take it on this date but if we're dealing with high winds, tornados, and torrential rains . .

You might do a search on here. I seem to remember a post about how a storm went through during a test and lights went out and how that was handled.

Good luck to your son!

Thanks, Youdon'tsay. I called the ACT and they told me to keep checking their website. They already have a list (much expanded from this morning) of test centers where testing has been cancelled. She said that if testing is cancelled at a particular test site that they will reschedule the tests at that particular site. She also said that if testing is not cancelled at our test center, but we feel it would be safer to not venture out, that they will probably waive the registration fee for the next scheduled test in October. So, I guess we're in a wait and see mode.
