+1 Monroe

I’m no fan of Obama’s policies, but I like him as a person. He seems fairly sincere, if also naive and arrogant.

Agreed. Though he WAS a really good general.

@JFK: He had some good moments, and some good quotes. He was probably one of the most charismatic presidents we’ve had, for better or worse.

Yes, but he was also just generally awesome in his personal life.

BTW, it’s interesting that all of the presidents of the last 30 years are being wiped out except Bush senior. Memory bias, or has America taken a serious nosedive lately?

PS: Try to keep comments in posts which are also actual game posts, otherwise you mess up the turn order.

Partisan feelings, more knowledge, can put actions in perspective of modern world. Anyone who would have targeted Bush Sr. went for Bush Jr. or Reagan or Nixon instead.

Jackson was the first to lose, though.

He was very good at inspiring the nation, a lot of his good policies are overlooked, most of LBJ’s “Great Society” was taken from Kennedy’s plans, and we wouldn’t have gotten where we did in space without him. Plus, he didn’t even come close to his full potential. He was only president for two and a half years.

That’s what I was wondering. Pretty much all he did was fail to stop Congress from making a big mess of Reconstruction.

EDIT: Actually, I think no one is bothering with Washington or Lincoln because they are uncontroversially popular, and therefore people go with more interesting ones.

Sure, but he indirectly killed over 200,000 innocent people in the process. I’m not saying that his actions can’t be perceived in a justifiable manner, but I’d rather him lose points than someone like, Clinton, for example.

^She was listed initially, so I guess we’re including her (as a potential president).
