Hutton Honors College + Scholarships

Heres the situation I am in:

My unweighted GPA just barely makes the cut for Kelley at a 3.602 and my weighted isn't that great (3.956). However, I have a pretty good ACT at 33 (I am retaking it tomorrow)

What do you guys think my chances of being offered a spot at Hutton is and also what about the scholarships? I know there is one for people with a UW GPA of 3.6 and 30 ACT of $1000 but is there anything else?

Look at this.

Automatic Academic Scholarships: Types of Scholarships: Office of Scholarships: IU Bloomington

I don't know if they look at weighted vs. unweighted for the GPA. If not, you're good for the $2000.00 if you apply early.

That's excellent! Any word on the HHC though?

It's hard to say what the cutoff for invitation to Hutton will be in the coming year. As stats keep rising for new admits, the bar may rise as well. However, with a 33 ACT, I would think the chances are pretty good that you will invited to apply. The scholarships are a whole other ballgame though. Competition is pretty stiff.

As rrah says, apply early! The sooner, the better when it comes to scholarships. If you are admitted, which I am assuming will happen, you will get a letter that tells you how much automatic scholarship money they are offering. If you are going to be invited into Hutton, you will have to fill out a separate application. If you are admitted, then they will tell you your Hutton scholarship status, which probably won't be until late winter/early spring.

Good luck!

You will also probably need to be ranked in the top 5% of your class to get money from Hutton. Much easier to get accepted to Hutton than to get money from them. Like Illinoismom says, apply as early as you can. You should apply well before the November 1 date, since Hutton scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis.
