What has been your experience? Seems like a wonderful option at IU.

Unless things have changed in the past year, I don’t think there is a downside to participating in Hutton. Even if you don’t work towards the honors designation on your diploma, you can still benefit from the different programs offered, register for classes that are reserved for Hutton members, and get travel scholarship money. I think S received money for two international travel opportunities through Hutton.

I know a lot of students (specifically Kelley) that are a part of Hutton just for the special programs offered. They offer money for study abroad and access to a lot of classes that other students can’t get into. Most of these students aren’t working towards graduating with an honors designation, but Hutton is definitely worth being a part of none the less.

Being in Hutton allows you to take honors versions of i-core prerequisites the whole time you are in Hutton, even if you don’t get into Kelley’s business honors program after freshman year. These classes have good grade inflation is you are willing to do extra credit work. Classes include honors version of X104, C104, both computer in business classes, and financial and managerial accounting.

thanks for the great info!
