Hi…my son did not get into the KLLC (which is probably a good thing since McNutt was pretty crazy when we visited), but he got put into Foster instead (not sure which building). He decided instead to apply to live in the Hutton Honors RC–Briscoe is full, but Teter is available. The location in Teter is better being centrally located and having bathroom pods, and he has a roommate lined up. But, I’m wondering after watching the IU video on the HHRC whether it’s going to be too geeky/nerdy for him. He’s social, but neither nerdy nor party animal. Anyone lived in the HHRC or had a child in there that could attest to what the social life is like?
Please let us know where your son ended up? the description of you son could fit our son too - Not nerdy at all but not a party animal but very social - pick up basketball or video game or poker (really good in poker too!) etc.
Has the numbers to be a direct admit and we are thinking of applying for KLLC - any feedback would be really appreciated! Thank you.
Please be strategic in housing application for next year, whether it be Hutton Honors or KLLC. There is currently an ongoing mold issue in multiple freshman dorms including locations in Foster, Teter and the McNutt buildings (which houses the KLLC). Be sure you are getting accurate information. A number of students have been displaced and an ongoing investigation and remediation process is underway. There are also many other LLC’s at IU that might give you a better assurance of being assigned the building you prefer. Good luck!
