<p>Hey guys I am going to petition for hutton honors college.</p>
<p>I have a got a 4.0 GPA out of 4 and a 1340 on the SAT. I missed only by 10 points.</p>
<p>The website says I need to send the transcripts along with a letter describing why should I be in the honors.</p>
<p>Anyone having any information on what all should I write in the letter, should be it an essay or what ?</p>

<p>Think of it like a persuasive essay on why you should be accepted to Hutton.</p>
<p>Agree with hkem123…dont focus on why scores and/or test scores were lower than expected. Focus on the positive things you can contribute to the program. People dont want to read about excuses they want to read about solutions and ideas.</p>
<p>Write about why you are interested in Hutton-- how can you see yourself making a positive contribution to the College?</p>
<p>Focus on contributions and positive experiences, how it would impact your career, open doors, etc.</p>

<p>D petitioned and was accepted. It took about one month. Her SAT’s were high but she missed the GPA by a 10th of a point. She was beyond ecstatic. Her HS sent a letter explaining the grading and curriculum. I think she also included a teacher recommendation.</p>
