I seem to be well versed in the undergrad business, but not in grad school!
Which web sites or books have you found useful in your search for grad schools?
Would like to help one of my children, who majored in geology. Thanks!

Any school w/great undergrad engineering-2 that come to mind would be Tufts and U. Wisconsin at Madison.

Hi SLUMOM, this caught my eye because my son came home and announced that he was majoring in geology/physics and wanted to go to graduate school in environmental engineering or hydrology. I don’t know about the fine distinctions between hydrology and hydrogeology but you might check out the information at Stanford and UC Berkeley’s graduate school websites. Both have extensive environmental engineering/hydrology/geology programs. Stanford seems especially open to interdisciplinary graduate studies.

Hydrogeology is a possibility at this point, and there are other interests in the environmental area as well. A couple of schools that keep coming up are Colorado School of Mines & University of Colorado-Boulder. Hydrology has been mentioned too. Anything to do with water it seems in this area! :)
