HYP and Stanford. Choose 2?

Would Dartmouth be a “lower” tier school for me? Or is Dartmouth just as hard to get into?

cornell is not need blind for internationals, and dartmouth is in no way a “lower” tier school for you. in fact, it is high selective.

Hmm quick question here…if anyone has an idea…how much harder is it to get into Stanford as an intl needing FuLL AID? Is it nearly impossible with my stats?

University Of Chicago has a better Economics program in my personal opinion, because they tend to not lean on the keynsian side. I would apply to UC and Stanford.

As Madshock said check which schools are need-blind and meet full demonstrated need for international students. This matters. You need a full ride. It isn’t going to do you any good to be accepted to a school you can’t afford to attend.

Beyond that, find out which schools, if any, do not distinguish between their international and national applicants. I was surprised to find out on another thread that UPenn might not, although I’m not completely convinced I interpreted their wording correctly. Typically the international and national pools are separate and it is harder to gain admittance from the international pool.

HYP and upenn are need-blind to canadians, but stanford is need aware in admission. Is it even worth applying to Stanford considering how hard it will be? Although Uchicago is need-aware, I figured that I may still have a fair shot at it…I heard that UCs don’t offer need based FA O:…
