ok so i really want to get into duke, so im applying ed. how do my chances look?

i have a 4.0 uw GPA (my school is public, semi-competitive)

sat: 700 math (i know, im trying to raise it), 710 CR, 770 writing (why couldnt this have been my math or CR score?) total: 2180
sat subject tests: 760 Biology, i'm taking the other in november

awards/honors:
-i was a semifinalist for a science competition (pretty prestigious, nothing like intel/siemens though)
-publication in a journal (medical related)
-ap scholar with distinction

ecs:
-martial arts (4 yrs), instructor
-dance (3 yrs), instructor
-a lot of hospital volunteering
-key club--i have had a couple of leadership positions
-science club--i started and am president
-i have had 2 internships, all medicine related (research for one of them)
-i tutor kids in a foreign language and i'm an instructor for that as well
and some other stuff

teacher reccs should be good, my additional will be from the editor of the journal i wrote for. my essays i hope will be good..still working on them

im asian and instate too

thank you :)

Try the ACT, many do better. Scores will be the issue.

how much of an issue will my scores be? i think i can get a 2200-2250 next time…but will my 2180 be a reason for denial?

what should i get my scores up to?

Yes, should you get your scores up, ideally to about the 75th percentile, though ED may allow for scores slightly lower than that.

what is the 75th percentile for duke? im in range for everything (math barely), but above range for writing…is there anything else i need to work on?

Can somebody look at my chances?
