Hypothetical chances for Cornell?

If everything goes as planned, this is what I expect my resume to be when I apply to schools. The GPA does not include senior year. I'm not sure if I want to apply to the School of Arts and Sciences or to the School of Engineering.

White male, public school in Maryland

GPA: 3.8UW, 5.35W
SAT: CR-720 M-770 W-730 (I want to retake, but fencing qualifiers are on the same dates)
SAT II: Chem-790, Physics-700+, US History-700+, Math II-800
AP: Chem-5
World-5
Calc AB-5
Physics B-5
English 11-4
Psychology-5
US History-5

Couse load:
At my school the classes go standard, honors, GT, and then AP in order of difficulty although they weigh GT and AP the same for weighted GPA.

Freshman-GT US Government, GT Geometry, GT English 9, GT Biology, Gym, Art 1, and Honors French III

Sophomore-AP Chemistry(2 periods), AP World History (of 3 APs available to sophomores with the third being AP Computer Science), GT Pre-Calc, Honors French IV, GT English 10, and Honors Tech

Junior(current)-AP Calculus AB, AP Physics B, AP English 11(not sure which AP English), AP Psychology, AP US History, AP French V, SAT prep (mandatory half year), health (mandatory half year)

Senior(already signed up for next year)-AP Physics C, AP English 12, AP French VI, AP Biology (2 periods), AP Economy (micro and macro for 1 year together), and AP Calculus BC

Extracurriculars:
JV Boys soccer-fall '07, '08
V Boys soccer-fall '09, '10*
V Tennis-spring '08, '09, '10*
Fencing-qualified for Junior Olympics fall '07, '08, '09, '10, qualified for Summer Nationals spring '08, '09, '10, did not go to JO's after qualifying in '08, went to nationals every time, certified Fencing Officials Commission referee, current FOC ratings: Foil-8 Epee-9 Sabre-10 (10-lowest/unobserved, 1-highest, 6 and down-usually referee at Nationals and JOs)
French Honor Society (admitted end of freshman year)
Maryland Math League '09-'10, '10-'11*
Key Club just '08-'09 (I have trouble fitting clubs in with a fall sport and spring sport with practice everyday directly after school during the season, and I don't think it's worth it to go to a club only for a third of the school year.)
Job assisting at a fencing camp summer '10* (I have been talking with the organizer)

Service(not good):
Have refereed 3-4 youth tournaments for no pay(volunteered), Assisted youth fencing camps for 2 weeks summer '09

*What I expect, but has not happened yet

hypothetical chances are completely meaningless.
why are you taking calc AB and physics B and planning on taking BC and C next year? you shouldve skipped AB and B.

Yeah, BC Calc/Physics C are not “progressions”, they just cover more material. Generally, people take one or the other.

uh…assuming u get ALL the things u say ur gonna get…maybe a chance.
sats a bit low

My school treats them as progressions and uses AB and B as prerequisites BC and C. I’ve never heard that they are not meant to be taken in progression.

Maybe you should check the CollegeBoard website.

Calculus BC includes all of AB within it - you’ll essentially be taking the same material all over again. In fact, the grade you receive will even have an “AB Subscore” that reflects your knowledge of AB material. In my school, AB was treated as the standard course for seniors while BC was the “higher level” course.

As for physics, B and C cover similar material, but B does not use calculus and does not treat the topics as rigorously. C is meant for those hoping to get credit for an STEM major, generally. For the full comparison: [AP: Physics C:](AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism Exam – AP Students)

The BC course at my school might just cover the additional material to AB then, and it may be the same for Physics B and C.

I am interested in a STEM major for college.

Also, my predictions for the scores and GPA that I am going to get are based on how I’m doing in classes now, practice tests, and how my brother did. My brother was a national AP scholar and my grades and scores have been better than his.
