yawn, I’d be Person A and B Sparknoting my novels.

honestly, it’s natural selection. and people without morals are going to win out. if B took the risk to plagiarize and didn’t get caught, well chances are he isn’t going to get caught. But he could’ve easily gotten caught and get rejected from every college. He took the risk and he won, it’s just like playing the stock market.

But wouldn’t you agree that one of the paramount differences between man and animal is that a person should try to have morals which place him on a pedestal above primitive, brutalistic forces of natural selection?

Isn’t it like saying, “I like this woman. This other man is a threat towards my not getting this woman (maybe for reproductive purposes). I shall kill him, as might a savage beast.”

Person A, at least in the realm of morals, I’d consider to be a bit more human than Person B.

Humans seem to have transcended natural selection, no?

Exactly my point. Thus, we should not need to resort to cheating in school or work or other aspects of human life which have been reasonably civilized.

Actually, humans can be considered as below animals. Look at us: we’ve got no fur, can’t run fast, and very vulnerable. We use our creativity for religions, which leads to a clash of ideas, which leads to war. We also use creativity for an military-industrial complex. That’s the consequence of humans being smart, but not smart enough.

^that reminds me of a quote I found from an SAT biology book :] and put it on my xanga (remember when we all had xangas?)

“Because a human has the most highly developed cerebrum of all the animals, he is superior to all of them. He also has the power of speech for communication; the opposable thumb enables him to write and use tools. He has developed devices by which he can exceed animals, even in physical abilities in which they excel: He can see better than an eagle, using a telescope; he can fly faster and higher than a bird, in an airplane; he can hear a longer distance than a dog, using the telephone; he can exceed the strength of an elephant, with his machines; he can travel faster than a horse, in an automobile; he can travel underwater more quickly than a fish, in a submarine; he can overcome a lion, using a gun. In addition, humans have unlocked many of the secrets of nature, including the structure and the forces of the atom. The question now confronting humankind is whether humans will use this knowledge intelligently for the benefit of all living things, or will behave like lower animals that have been given power they cannot control, and let it lead to their downfall.”

^That is hilarious. SAT biology book? Sounds like a picture book from 3rd grade or something!
