Hypothetical Question

Is it possible to:

Double major in Industrial Engineering/Economics

+

MMSS

+

Have a Kellogg Undergraduate Certificate.

...and still have time for 1 or 2 electives.

It's always "possible" but would you really want to do it? There are students here that take 8 classes per quarter, though it is severe overload for most of us, some really talented people manage to do it.

http://www.iems.northwestern.edu/docs/undergraduate/ie-econ.pdf shows what courses count toward both econ and IE.

I am not sure but I imagine 5 of the MMSS can replace the stats/math requirement. If that's the case, 5 MMSS courses can be triple-counted...then...ok, this is starting to give me headache...you will have to figure out the rest. :)

prospies want to do it all but
i think you will rid yourself of these thoughts once you get here.
as for now, sure why not :)

I agree with gd.

Whether or not it's possible (which it probably is) it would be hella hard. I don't know what your reason for doing it would be - to gain some advantage when applying for finance jobs?

To be honest, you wouldn't really need to. It's fine to just have depth of focus in something like MMSS, those kids do fine for themselves, as do straight econ majors and straight IE.

A lot of kids do a double in MMSS/Econ without much difficulty, so that is probably the most common combination. I don't know what happens when you try to throw IE in there as well... engineering has some pretty expansive distribution requirements among other engineering fields (mechanical, etc.).

is it possible to do a double major with the Kaplan Humanities Scholars Program and the International Relations program? ...with a minor in spanish?
