Hypothetical situation- What would happen?

If you applied ED and got accepted, you are required to withdraw your other applications and commit to Princeton. However, let's say you receive two Cs in two of your courses (you were previously a straight A student) and Princeton rescinds your admittance. What would happen? Could you Un-withdraw your other applications? I'm not saying this is going to happen to me, but I'm interested as to what would happen...

If I were the applicant, I would write a letter explaining the sudden fall in my grades. I don't really know if I would be able to un-withdraw my other applications since it will be long past the deadlines.

hmm I doubt that they would automatically rescind your admittance.
I heard that schools tend to send you a letter of warning that says any more "out of character" grades would cause them to rescind your admittance so you should watch your grades.
And I also believe that they would want a letter of explanation too like foolonthehill said.

Another question...how do you go about withdrawing applications to schools if you're accepted ED to Princeton?

Would you just e-mail them and tell them you were accepted to a binding ED and they'd just withdraw it for you?

yeah...i have a friend at stanford who got in when stanford still had its binding ED policy, and he told me he just sent letters (via snail mail) to all his colleges informing them that he had been accepted into stanford ED.

wait i dunt understand. you guys already applied to other schools?

don't most people wait until ED decisions come out in DEC15 so as not to waste hundreds of $$ on other apps?

Well for me, I had to apply to Stanford already because there's is due Dec 15
And I'm applying to UT Austin because their scholarship deadline is Dec 1, and I might as well submit my app on the same date because there admissions is kinda rolling if you are a guaranteed admit and I would prefer to find out if I made it to the honors program.

But I'm submitting all my other apps on Dec 15/16 =)
