Washington University STL
URochester
U Pittsburgh – accepted w/ full tuition scholarship, 16k scholarship, honors college, etc.
University of San Diego

Some background: I've gone to ~11 schools K-12 and 2 high schools because my parents are both Navy. I'm probably only going to put the EC's from my 11-12 grade high school on my application.

why not put them all, and explain your constant switching?

Anyways, I think you have a pretty good shot. You don't have a mind blowing EC, but it's tough when you're switching schools a ton. good luck, get into Stanford ftw :)

What I note about your list is that it's pretty heavy on super-reaches (a lot of these are super-reaches for everybody). That's OK, if you can afford the fees, and you have a decent chance of getting in to one or more of them. Pomona, Rice, and WashU are still pretty selective, but I'd say your chances there are good. I don't know about Rochester or USD. Pitt's a good school, and that's a nice safety situation.

bump 10 char

Harvard: Reach
Stanford:Low Reach
Princeton: Reach
Yale: Reach
Duke: High Match
University of Pennsylvania: High Match
Pomona: Match
Rice: Match
Washington University STL: High Match
URochester: Safety
U Pittsburgh – accepted w/ full tuition scholarship, 16k scholarship, honors college, etc.: Safety
University of San Diego: Safety

bump 10 char =O

bump 10 char.

lol bump10char

your ec's aren't bad! i think you stand a fair shot at all the schools you want to apply to.

1 last bump =O

Your SATs are a bit low for Harvard and Princeton, although you have a great class rank and AP scores. You'll have a better chance at Stanford because they tend to focus less on numbers - maybe write an essay about having to move all the time and how that changed you as a person? I'm not familiar enough with the other schools to chance you.

I think you have an excellent chance at most of these schools, you have shown great adaptability and resiliency. I would absolutely make sure those 11 changes of schools are highlighted in the application.

Yeah, play up the fact that you had to move around a lot!

Your GPA and ACT score and AP tests are wonderful, and they put you in the top tier of competitive applicants.

However, although your extracurriculars are good, they aren't great. HYPS expect great to outstanding extracurriculars.

HYPS = you are within the top tier of competitive applicants. The only ones that are better are the unbelievably outstanding, crazy, *** applicants that you often see around CC. So for you, I wouldn't be surprised if you got in, but I wouldn't put you as a match. Slight reaches for all. Expect an acceptance letter from one!

Duke: High Match
University of Pennsylvania: High Match
Pomona: Match
Rice: Match
Washington University STL: Match
URochester: Safety
U Pittsburgh : Safety
University of San Diego: Safety

And could you chance me, please?

Your SATs are a bit low for Harvard and Princeton, although you have a great class rank and AP scores

Well that's why I'm glad I got a 34 on the ACT.

^lol owned.

You have a great shot everywhere. The essays will decide it for you (aka, you're "within range" - now write some baller essays!)

shameless bump.

random bump why not

Write good essays. A lot of people think they automatically will write good ones, and that's often a fatal flaw. Put a lot of time into them!
