hyps + cutoff for cancellation?

i'm thinking about hyps and like schools... and i took the bio m today, what score do you think i should cancel if i think i got below? (errr my wording's bad) like... should i cancel if i think i get below a 770 or a 750? or....

yeah, im worried about 800 800 790, do u think that will look bad?

For Goodness sake, I hope your being sarcastic. I have 800,800, but Physics is gonna be like 720. But im not applying to HYSP

no, of course im like serious. cuz 790 sucxks =)

IT's true. 790 a horrendous score. Might as well drop out.

haha but seriously, what do you guys think is a realistic cutoff (i'm still in the process of calculating my score and i want to decide a cutoff before i figure out the score...)

Who cares? I probably got ~700 on Physics and I have no plans to cancel. You can always retake. You never know what you will get. Don't cancel man.

but colleges see that u retake and if you retake a 700 and get a 800 it only shows you studied hard to do that and make you seem more nerdy... where if you just took it later... taddaaa good score

if they need to receive it by monday. will it be too late to mail it tonight?

they need to recieve it by wednesday...

Well, it depends. Ive only taken a 1 year physics course, but next year, ill be in AP. So that should justify a retake. Also, whats wrong with studying? If you study enough to know it on the SAT II, then you know it in general, which is what the colleges want. See what I mean? I don't see the point in canceling unless you totally bombed. And why would you retake a 750? Thats ridiculous! Thats an awesome score! Unless its a language you are native in.

Why don't people just believe the colleges when they say they only consider your three top scores, bar none? Sure they'll see the other ones, but is that really going to make the difference between you being accepted to Harvard and being rejected from Harvard? Honestly.

By the way, I'm applying to HPY in the fall and got a 680 Lit and 700 USH, and I'm retaking both in October.

but wouldnt you cancel if your cousin got 430's on all 3 in one admission?

why cousin? :P yeah... i just don't want to ruin my chances...

i meant if you were to be in your cousins shoes

lol 09xoxo

The point is, you won't. Highest score matters. Just believe it, and embrace it :). You don't know what you got yet. Plus, what if you can't make the fall testing for some reason? Or you do worse? That would be a sad mistake, wouldn't it?

What do you mean it just shows that you studied? Isn't that what you're supposed to do in the first place? SAT 2's are just how much you've learned...

but im pretty positive ill do better. i honestly didnt have time to study this material~ AND it was a stupid mistake to take lit and math2. TWO WEAK subjects. thats why even if im planning on taking bio and spanish in october, i know in my receipt, math2 and literature will show. an that will look bad(since i only need 2 for UC, im considering bio and spanish, but to have math2 and literature there, is going to be a real turndown for colleges)

Jay- what do u think y got? <700?
