Schools I'm applying to:
-MIT (Early Action)
-Caltech (Early Action)
-Yale
-Harvard
-Princeton
-Stanford
-Johns Hopkins
-Penn
-Columbia
-UCs (Berkeley, LA, SD, SB, Davis)

Chance me please!!!!!

Haha, I don't like to get people's hopes up...but seriously! I would be the MOST surprised if you didn't get accepted into:

Caltech

Johns Hopkins

Penn

the UC's

Can't say about the Ivy's. I think they play a dart game up there XD I have no idea...

I would be surprised if you did not get into at least 1 Ivy. I'm sure you know this.

I'm a rather conservative person when it comes to chancing

-MIT (Early Action): High Reach
-Caltech (Early Action): Really high reach
-Yale: Not rich enough... (live in East Bay?)
-Harvard: Not well rounded (don't see any .. real ECs)
-Princeton: You're not white.....
-Stanford: No chance
-Johns Hopkins: In
-Penn: Low Reach
-Columbia: Reach
-UCs (Berkeley, LA, SD, SB, Davis)
-Berkeley:Too many asians
-LA: Too many asians
-SD: Too many....
-SB: Huh?
-Davis: Not dumb enough

Have you ever considered UC Merced or UC Riverside?

Btw
The above is just a rough estimate...

Why is Caltech higher than MIT?

I know that MIT is more tended towards girls, but...still, isn't Caltech easier?

CalTech isn't easier, MIT is just less scores-based.

hahahaha, i have never seen a more ridiculous post than the one by ihaztehgpa above. this poster has a 2390 SAT score, 2400 SATiis, solid EC's (kind of stereotypical, but still solid), 4.0 UW, AND valedictorian.
I would bet that this app gets into at least 2 out of hypsm.

bump (10 char)

Obviously yours scores and class rank are good, so in for all the non-ivy's IMO.

-MIT (Early Action) - Have you built a fully functional battle robot by the age of 7? High reach

-Caltech (Early Action) - This one's easy... oh wait, you're a girl... Uber reach

-Yale - Publish a poem and maybe. But for now high reach.

-Harvard - Publish a 17 line Haiku and you'll be Reach.

-Princeton - only if you apply for the major: I used your prep books and got 5/800/2400

-Stanford - Reach, but you don't want to go here. They use doric columns. Ewww right?

-Johns Hopkins - Where is this I don't even...

-Penn - If Wharton, high reach; if not wharton low reach.

-Columbia - No.

-UCs
Berkeley - Match, but if you go here, your rank will decrease by ½xt², where x is 9006 and t is time(sec)

LA - Same as Berkeley, but x is 9002.2342

SD - I think this is in Mexico. You have neither a 5 on AP spanish nor a 800 on the Spanish SAT II; high reach if you're lucky.

SB - Don't go here, I'm aiming for rank 1-2 here and don't want pro people like you to mess it up =(

Davis - Sorry, but your stats don't meet their requirements. You overshot your gpa by about 2 points and your SAT I by 500 points. Retake your SAT I reading section and try to get at most 300 points. If you don't do anything, then good luck...

^^^^^agreed

^ lol.

here's a haiku :D

haikus are so cool
but sometimes they make no sense
refrigerator

lol. You did Royal School of Music. You should try for the Grade 10 hahaha. O_o

^^^I did the British Royal School of Music, not the Canadian one. The British one only has 8 grades.

o rly?

ha. I just got the Islamey sheet music. watch me fail (lol).
for your grade 8, what general level of difficulty are you expected to play? Like Liszt Transcendental Etudes (minus no. 5 lol)?

No, nothing like that lol. I took it 3 years ago, so I really can't remember...the playing part was pretty easy, but I just fail miserably at aural.

In for most and please don't apply to Davis, San Diego, you're just going to hurt my chances, people like us need education to you know. I tried hard not to do well or to bad to get into San Diego, in fact I tailored myself to look like the typical San Diego student.

-~~ just worried me. Now I'm going to learn Spanish, eat tacos all day and get a really dark suntan. Oh and I can only dream of getting into UCLA, seriously I dream it everyday, when I wake up I punch myself for being so delusional.

BTW where can I learn piano? (for beginners) and what electronic or acoustic piano should I invest in? (for beginners)

I don't mind playing classical as long it's... for beginners (obviously).

bump ....:P

wow....you are definitely in at 3-4/5 of HYPSM...great stats+aime+leadership in clubs= acceptance :D

If you were Latino or Native American then I'd say you're in at all of them but besides that, your stats look pretty solid in terms of science so I have no doubt in my mind colleges will appreciate your dedication to one area. gl
